Miami Beach Clinic Opening
The long-awaited Artificial Pancreas Treatment is now available in Miami Beach, Florida. This clinic will be open in the next two weeks, serving people in the greater Miami area who have chronic complications from diabetes.
The clinic is being opened by one of the original sponsors of the treatment when it was still in its investigational phase. In fact, the Miami clinic owners also conducted a clinical trial where patients with neuropathy were treated for over one year. These patients not only reported significant reduction of their neuropathy and a return of feeling, their nerve conduction velocities improved an average of 65% according to researchers at the University of Puerto Rico.
The Miami clinic is located in the physician building of Mount Sinai Hospital. The address and telephone number will be posted here as soon as the clinic is open for patients. Treatment is expected to begin before August 1st.
